ABOUT THE SYSTEM

This is a project with Reg. No: CoICT-CSE22071, conducted in collaboration between University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM), in the United Republic of Tanzania and Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), of the United Republic of South Africa. The project aims to deploy a network which will connect the UDSM campuses by using Television White Spaces (TVWS) technology: College of information and Communication Technology (CoICT), Mwalimu Julius Nyerere campus, and Magufuli Hostel.

The deployed network is expected to support e-services such online lectures, seminar, meetings and access to learning resources within the campus free of charges. The network will also be used to demonstrate other use cases in which TVWS technology can deliver. Such use cases are e-medicine, Road Traffic monitoring, Agriculture (Smart Farming), Street Surveillance.
